Gaylord High School students created and run the annual Chips for Charity, which is a group of economic, civics, and marketing students that learn about starting and running a business by applying hands-on activities to microeconomic concepts being taught in our classes.  The students chose The United Way to be the beneficiary of all their hard work because the United Way helps so many different people and organizations in our community.

The students learn about and manage all phases of a business, from the making of the product all the way to the distribution to the buyers.  It has become a wonderful annual event, and a great way for the kids to go beyond the walls of the classroom and learn by doing.  Through the co-operation of our local businesses especially the Alpine Chocolat Haus the students enjoy a fantastic learning experience.

The buckets/baskets contain an assortment of premium chocolates such as chocolate covered potato chips,
milk chocolate covered oreos, Bruce's famous caramel corn, Alpine chocolate candy bar, solid chocolate bunnies,
German chocolate eggs, chocolate covered Rice Crispy treats, Peeps and assorted Jelly beans.

All buckets/baskets cost $25 with free delivery to the local area, if out of the local area, a shipping fee will be added.

There is an additoinal link to the United Way at the bottom of our "Contact Us" page.
